Doors hung so they close with a click, skirting that follows a wonky old wall, shelving and made-to-measure pieces built to fit your house - not a catalogue.

Joinery runs through most of Dave’s work, from easing a sticking door to building a hardwood door canopy that shrugs off Cumbrian weather. Customers have had whole sets of internal doors replaced, hung and oiled, new back doors made, and one-off pieces designed from a photograph.

Common questions

Can you make something from a picture?

Yes - one customer’s oval picnic table with attached benches started as a photo. Send a picture on WhatsApp and Dave will tell you what it would take.

Old house, nothing square - a problem?

The opposite: it is where hand joinery earns its keep. Scribing to uneven walls and floors is normal work in Eden Valley houses.
